“Yerevan sketches” from the YHM rich collection of photos

At the initiative of Yerevan Municipality, within the frames of “Yerevan summer” program of events the exhibition called “Yerevan sketches” will open on July 12,at 10.00 in “Hay-Art” cultural center.

“Author’s doll” exhibition has opened (video)

 “Author’s doll” exhibition dedicated to the international day of Children’s Rights Protection opened in Yerevan History Museum on May 20.

The exhibition is the first experience to present author’s dolls as a separate and successful direction of the Armenian decorative and applied art which includes various arts such as sculpture, painting, design.

“Author’s dolls” exhibition in Yerevan History Museum

Prior to the International Day of Children’s Rights Protection, June 1, the exhibition called “Author’s dolls“ will open at Yerevan History Museum (Argishti,1/1) on May 20, at 16.00. The exhibition is open till June 20.

This exhibition is the first attempt to present author’s dolls as a separate and successful direction of the Armenian decorative-applied art, which includes different types of art: sculpture, painting, design. It’s time for the Armenian author’s dolls change its merely souvenir «Vernissage» status and to be find their distinguished place in museum exhibitions, as they do in other countries.

“Cultural dialogue” exhibition has opened in Yerevan History Museum

By the initiative of Yerevan Municipality Department of Culture and Tourism the exhibition “Cultural dialogue” had opened in Yerevan History Museum. The exhibition includes 70 samples of Iranian collection of the museum.

The main part of the exhibition involves miniatures and paintings of the 18-19 centuries, samples of carpet weaving, textiles, copper household items. The marble fountain ( IX century) which used to decorate the mirror hall of Sardar’s Palace draws special attention at the exhibition.

An exhibition in Yerevan History Museum

With the support of Yerevan Municipality the exhibition “City and environment” was opened in Yerevan History Museum. The event was organized by the French Embassy in Armenia within the frames of the actions dedicated to the international Francophonie day.

Photo exhibition “Women in urban economy” has opened in the Metro

On the event of Women’s Day the photo exhibition “Women in urban economy” has opened at “Republic square” metro station. The exhibition was organized by joint efforts of Yerevan Municipality and Yerevan History Museum and represents 32 photos telling about women’s work and role in various sphere of economy from the Soviet times till present days.

On October 22 the exhibition of Armenian and Japanese art named «From tradition to modernity» opened in Yerevan History Museum.

“Old Yerevan: a view from the future”:photo-exhibition at the metro stations

On Yerevan’s birthday the residents and the guests of the capital can recollect the past of Yerevan through the archive photos at the “Republic square” and “Yeritasardakan” metro stations of the Yerevan Metro after Karen Demirchyan.

The events of “Museum night 2015” will be dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial

The Municipality of Yerevan and the Yerevan history Museum invite you to the events to be held on May 16 within the frames of “Museum night 2015” action. The events are dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial.

On May 16, from 11.00 till 24.00 the exhibition called “I remember and demand: Rebirth” is open within the frames of the event called “Museums: memory witnesses”. The aim of the exhibition is to present Yerevan before 1915 and afterwards in the context of creation of shelters for refugees, elimination of the consequences of the greatest disaster, the reconstruction and rebirth of Yerevan.
