Special gift of Japanese art figure to Yerevan on the 2800th anniversary of foundation

By the initiative of Yerevan Municipality tourism division, on the event of the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan foundation the well-known Japanese art figure, professor Kunito Nagaoka made a copy of the Urartian cuneiform record considered to be Yerevan “passport” kept in the historical-archaeological reserve-museum “Erebuni”. The artist made the copy of the record using the traditional Chinese technique Taku-Hon. He also made a copy of the famous Khachkar (cross stone) kept in Yerevan History Museum. It should be noted that nowadays this technique is mainly mastered by Japanese. Thin strong paper made of natural fabric and corresponding ink were used to make the copy. In Yerevan the artist used Japan sort of paper called “tango”. Any handmade copy is considered to be an original and has the signature of the artist.

Presentation of new canvas by artist Christina Oganezova is held in Yerevan History Museum

The presentation of the new painting dedicated by artist Christina Oganezova to the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan foundation has been held in Yerevan History Museum. The head of Yerevan Municipality Department of Culture Ruben Hovhannisyan, the director of Yerevan History Museum Armine Sargsyan, artists, guests were present at the event.

Exhibition dedicated to 2800th foundation anniversary of the capital is open in Yerevan History Museum

The ceremony of opening of the personal exhibition of the paintings by Christina Oganezova dedicated to the 2800th anniversary of foundation of the capital has been held in Yerevan History Museum. Yerevan Mayor’s Assistant Maria Baraghamyan, the head of Culture Department Ruben Hovhannisyan, the head of tourism division Gevorg Orbelyan, the director Yerevan History Museum Armine Sargsyan, art figures and gusts were present at the event.
