VivaCell-MTS provides four museums with Wi-Fi network

The leading communication operator of Armenia, Viva-Cell MTS has provided 4 cultural objects functioning in the capital with modern information infrastructure. Corners with one-year free Wi-Fi access have been created in Yerevan History Museum, in Modern Art Museum, in Karen Demirchyan house-museum as well as in «Erebuni» historical and archaeological reserve-museum.

Such cooperation of the state and private sector is based on the wish to encourage culture loving society.

The army of internet users is increasing from year to year. And giving such an opportunity to museums is very important from the point of view of presenting our cultural values to the world. The program enables the target group-the visitors from Armenia and abroad to get access to innovative technologies.

Within the frames of the same program, at the beginning of the year Wi-Fi corners were created in all the branches of the library after Avetik Isahakyan subordinated to Yerevan Municipality.

The annual cost of the program concerning museums makes up AMD 1 million. Totally AMD 4.8 was disbursed for giving such opportunities in libraries.
