Exhibition titled “Leningrad, Blockade, Battle Pencil, 1941-1944” within the framework of “St. Petersburg Days in Yerevan”
Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and St Petersburg Vice-Governor Olga Kazanskaya were present at the opening ceremony of the exhibition “Leningrad.Siege.Military pencil 1941-1944” held within the frames of “St Petersburg days in Yerevan”.
The agitation posters by Leningrad artists dedicated to the creative union “Military pencil” which were created during the years of the Siege of Leningrad in 1941-1944 were presented at the exhibition.
Vice-Governor Olga Kazanskaya and Mayor Taron Margaryan watched the exhibition and the presented posters. It was noted that the activity of the artists of “Military pencil” union left a significant trace in the history of patriotic art.
it should be noted that this exhibition is another initiative implemented as a result of cooperation of Yerevan History Museum with the State Memorial Museum of Leningrad Defence and Siege. The exhibition is open till December 1.
