A present with the symbols of Yerevan of the 1970s – to the Yerevan History Museum

The historical values of the Yerevan History Museum have been replenished with another 7 samples of contemporary history of Yerevan, which were presented to the museum by artist Haghtanak Shahumyan.
These are the symbolic items of Yerevan of the 1970s, particularly, the hand-made original medal of the Honorary citizen of Yerevan, the book with engraved wooden cover where the honorary guests and citizens of Yerevan used to leave their records, the first example of the certificate-passport in leather cover of the latter, one of the three symbolic keys of the Yerevan metro and the main scheme of the measure dedicated to 2760th anniversary of Erebuni-Yerevan of 1978.
The Chief artist of Yerevan of 1978-1984 Haghtanak Shahumyan, who is the author and the co-author of the presented samples, kept them in his personal collection.
The samples were handed personally to the Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan. “I express my gratitude to you for keeping all this and presenting to the Museum of Yerevan History”, said the Mayor.
If I keep these samples they will belong only to me and make happy only me, but now they belong to the public and can tell the residents of Yerevan and the guests of the capital how the notion of a honorary citizen appeared and some other stories about the Yerevan of the 1970s”, said the artist.
