“Armenia” Exhibition in Guangzhou, PRC

On November 13, an exhibition entitled “Armenia” opened in the Guangzhou City Museum of the People’s Republic of China, where valuable exclusive samples of carpets, costumes, jewelry and embroidery from the collection of the Yerevan History Museum were on display.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by the leadership of the Department of Culture and Tourism of the province government, the head of the bureau for the protection of cultural heritage of the province, media representatives and guests.
The event ended with a concert, which featured works by Komitas, A. Babajanyan, as well as a show of Armenian national costumes by Chinese girls. This is the fourth exhibition after the cities of Fujian, Ningbo and Xi’an, through which Chinese visitors are introduced to the exhibits of the Yerevan History Museum.
