The doors of Yerevan History Museum were open till midnight

During the «Museums night» event held under the motto «Museums make connections» on May 17 the doors of the Yerevan History Museum like other museums were opened for the visitors till midnight.
Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan on behalf of Mayor Taron Margaryan congratulated the museum workers on the International Museum Day and thanked them for devotion in the implementation of this important historical and cognitive mission
«Museums night» has become a tradition in Yerevan and has been actively held for 10 years. Night environment in the museum is really unique. The museums of Yerevan apply flexible approaches and have various innovative programs and the visitors of the YHM can witness it today:, said the Deputy Mayor and invited those present to watch the 3D animation «Everyday life of Old Yerevan» and the video «A virtual walk in new Yerevan».
The president of «Megeryan carpet» company Raffi Megeryan was also present at the event and taking the opportunity he asked Aram Sukiasyan to convey his words of gratitude to Mayor Taron Margaryan for the support in the organization of the exhibition representing the history of their carpets in the Yerevan History Museum and as a token of gratitude he presented one of the carpets with the emblem of Yerevan weaved during the exhibition to the Municipality of Yerevan and the other one to the Yerevan History Museum.
The 3D animation «Everyday life of Old Yerevan» about Yerevan of the 17-19 centuries is included in the exhibition of the YHM from this time on.
Afterwards the Deputy Mayor of Yerevan accompanied by the director of the museum Armine Sargsyan walked about the museum and watched the 3D animations.
