«Armenian carpet weaving traditions»
By the joint initiative of the Yerevan History Museum and «Megeryan carpet» company an exhibition called «Armenian carpet weaving traditions», dedicated to «Erebuni-Yerevan 2795» celebration has been opened since October 10.
Some of about 50 hand-made carpets exhibited here are kept in the Yerevan History Museum. For keeping the traditions of Armenian carpet weaving the mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan awarded the president of «Megeryan carpet» company Raffi Megeryan with the thanksgiving diploma of the Mayor of Yerevan.
Raffi Megeryan presented the Mayor of Yerevan a small carpet with the emblem of the Republic of Armenia depicted on it, and on November 25, on the day of closing the exhibition he will present another carpet with the coat of arms of Yerevan.
