Photo exhibition “Yerevan Etudes” has opened
Within the frames of “Yerevan summer 2016” three-month program of events the photo exhibition “Yerevan sketches” has opened in “Hay-Art” cultural center on the event of the World Day of Photos.
The photos of the 19th and 20th century kept at Yerevan History Museum, as well as 70 works by the eminent Armenian photographers of the Soviet period are on display.
The head of Yerevan Municipality Department of Culture and Tourism Ruben Hovhannisyan, the director of the Yerevan History Museum Armine Sargsyan were present at the opening ceremony.
“For the 4th year running Yerevan Municipality has taken efforts to make the summer routine of the capital more interesting and informative, to fill it with more cultural meaning. Each of the old Yerevan photos is a piece of history commemorated in an instant. And I am sure that the photos will interest our residents and the guests of Yerevan”, said Ruben Hovhannisyan.
The Photos by the founders of modern Armenian photography Hovhannes and Gegham Tariverdyants, Martiros Dadyants, Hovhannes Qyurkchyants as well as by Dmitry Yermakov and others.
“Yerevan sketches” photo exhibition is open till July 19. The admission is free.
