Cooperation agreements have been signed between cultural and educational establishments of Yerevan and Moscow

Within the frames of Yerevan days in Moscow held on December 21-22, jointly with Moscow Chamber of Trade and Industry the conference “Perspectives of trade-economic and humanitarian ties of Yerevan and Moscow” was organized.In his greeting speech the head of the standing financial and budget commission of Yerevan Council of Elders Naira Nahapetyan attaching particular importance to strengthening and expansion of the ties between the two capitals noted that this conference in its turn would contribute to strengthening the bilateral interaction in various spheres of urban economy and implementation of targeted steps.
During the conference referring to the program of Yerevan development and the cultural policy implemented in recent years the head of Yerevan Municipality Department of Culture Ruben Hovhannisyan noted that programs of improvement of cultural establishments of Yerevan and their equipment with musical instruments are being implemented. Particularly stressing that next year Yerevan is going to celebrate its 2800th anniversary Ruben Hovhannisyan also noted that the year of 2018 will not only be a jubilee for Yerevan but also will enter the history of the capital and the year of important initiatives and achievements. taking the opportunity,Ruben Hovhannisyan on behalf of Mayor Taron Margaryan invited those present to visit Yerevan next year and to take part in festive events dedicated to 2800th anniversary.
Within the frames of the conference cooperation agreements were signed between Yerevan music school after Sayat Nova and Moscow special music school after Gnesins. Similar agreements were also signed between Yerevan Chamber Theater and Moscow theater “Most”, between the central library after Av. Isahakyan of Yerevan and the “centralized library system of Moscow central administrative okrug” as well as between the schools after Mayakovski in Yerevan and Moscow.
The historical and archaeological reserve-museum “Erebuni” and Yerevan history Museum signed cooperation agreement with Moscow History Museum.
